Waverly candidate forum

"I firmly believe that we need to look at issues differently, that we need to invest in the people of Tennessee... We need to make sure that we are serving everyone; not just the job creators, but the people who are working minimum wage jobs, who are putting two and three minimum wage jobs together to try to raise their families. I think they need a voice in this election and that's why I'm running."

WQMV Radio and The News Democrat hosted a Forum for candidates. Wade and Kerry’s debate portion runs from 13:39 to 44:10.

Why I'M running

"Too often our state legislators are operating off of talking points conceived by someone else, not from the people whom they were presumably elected to represent. I want to be a state senator that represents everyone in the district, not just the ones who voted for me."

A place i call home

"I'm glad to be back home. I'm glad to be back in a place that shaped me. I think more people need to respect that farming is a huge part of our sate. If a politician wants to try to protect that way of life and those families... he needs to come out here and breathe this air and talk to people who have concerns."

"There's so much ugliness on both sides, and to me, what it should be about is the community that you're representing. Whether it's on the community level, the state level, or the national level, it should be about the welfare of the people."
